A friend of a friend came to me looking for inspiration for her bonus room that they use as a play / game room. They hung an enormous surf board horizontally on the wall above the entryway and wanted to use their travels to Biarritz, France as inspiration for the space.
After reading more about Biarritz, I now know where Stephen and I are taking our next big trip! Biarritz is a laid-back beach town on southwestern France’s Basque coast. It is said to be the first place surfing was practiced in Europe (a Californian brought it over, of course!). It sounds a little bit like Charleston… and I love it!
